Who we are
This website and the WooCommerce Email Exporter plugin are operated by Surewares LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Montana, United States, with its registered address at 127 N Higgins Ave, Ste 307D #3189, Missoula, MT 59802-4486, USA.
Throughout this document, "we", "us" and "our" mean Surewares LLC. "You" means the person or business buying or using the plugin. "The plugin" means WooCommerce Email Exporter, including every update we supply to you.
Accepting these terms
By buying a licence, downloading the plugin, or installing it on a site, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company.
If you do not accept these terms, do not install the plugin. If you have already bought it and do not accept them, ask for a refund under our refund policy within 14 days.
The licence you are buying
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the plugin on the number of live sites covered by the tier you bought:
- Single site — one live production site.
- Freelancer — up to five live production sites.
- Agency — an unlimited number of live production sites that you or your clients own or operate.
Staging, development and local installations do not count towards your activation limit. You may move an activation from one site to another at any time.
What you may do
- Install the plugin on client sites within your activation limit, including as part of paid work you do for them.
- Modify the plugin for your own or your client's use.
- Export your own store's customer data as often as you like, with no row limits.
What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the plugin as your own product, or as part of a bundle or membership site.
- Share, publish or resell your licence key, or use one key across more sites than your tier allows.
- Remove or alter the licence and update mechanism in order to receive updates without an active licence.
GPL and what you are paying for
The PHP portions of the plugin are licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2 or later, as required for WordPress plugins. Nothing in these terms restricts the rights that licence gives you over that code.
What you are paying for is the licence key: access to automatic updates, new versions and our support for the period covered by your purchase. It is not payment for permission to use the code, and it is not a restriction on your GPL rights.
Put plainly: you can do what the GPL allows with the code. What you buy from us is updates and a person who answers your email.
Price, payment and renewal
Licences are sold as an annual subscription in US dollars. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay; any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies will be shown before you confirm.
Licences renew automatically each year unless you cancel before the renewal date. Renewals are charged at a 30% discount on the then-current list price. We will email you before each renewal is taken.
You can cancel automatic renewal at any time from your account or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not end the licence period you have already paid for.
If a renewal payment fails, we will retry and email you. If it is still unpaid after that, the licence lapses and updates and support stop.
Updates and support
An active licence includes automatic plugin updates and email support for as long as it remains active.
What support covers
- Installing, activating and configuring the plugin.
- Bugs, errors and anything in the plugin behaving differently from how it is documented.
- Questions about exports, filters, fields and the CSV output.
What support does not cover
- Custom development, bespoke fields or modifications to suit one store.
- Problems caused by other plugins, your theme, your host or your server configuration, although we will tell you what we find.
- General WordPress, WooCommerce or email marketing advice unrelated to the plugin.
- Support for a copy of the plugin that has been modified so that we cannot reproduce the problem.
We aim to reply within one business day on Single site licences, and the same business day on Freelancer and Agency licences. These are targets, not guarantees.
When a licence expires
If your licence lapses, the version of the plugin you already have keeps working. Nothing switches off, no nag screen takes over your dashboard, and your exports continue.
What you lose is automatic updates, access to new versions, and support. Running an unsupported version is at your own risk — in particular, we cannot guarantee it will keep working with future versions of WordPress, WooCommerce or PHP.
Your customer data and your responsibility
The plugin reads order data from your own WordPress database and produces a CSV file on your own server. We do not receive, store or process the customer data you export. See our privacy policy for exactly what the plugin does and does not transmit.
You remain the data controller for that customer data. You are responsible for:
- Having a lawful basis to export and use the personal data in your orders.
- Having valid consent, where it is required, before sending marketing email to those addresses.
- Complying with GDPR, UK GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL, and any other law that applies to you.
- Storing the exported CSV files securely and deleting them when you no longer need them.
The plugin makes exporting easy. It does not make the export lawful — that part is on you.
Warranties and disclaimers
We build and test the plugin carefully, and we support it properly. But it is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be free of bugs, that it will be uninterrupted, or that it will meet every requirement you have in mind.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.
You are responsible for keeping working backups of your site and database before installing or updating any plugin, including ours.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill or business interruption, arising out of your use of the plugin.
Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the plugin is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Termination
You can stop using the plugin at any time. Deactivating and deleting it ends your obligations going forward, other than any fee already due.
We may suspend or terminate your licence without refund if you breach these terms materially — in particular by redistributing the plugin, sharing licence keys, or circumventing the licence mechanism. Where the breach is capable of being fixed, we will tell you and give you a reasonable chance to fix it first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top.
If we make a change that materially reduces your rights, we will email licence holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept the change, you may cancel your renewal; existing paid periods continue under the terms you agreed to.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The state and federal courts located in Missoula County, Montana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we both submit to that jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
